Meet Dr. Banks

Dr. Lamont Banks, DC, C.C.S.P., is a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West, where he earned both academic and clinical honors. During his time there, he developed a strong foundation in human biomechanics with a focus on sports injuries and rehabilitative care, and was the first in his class to complete all clinical requirements. He is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (C.C.S.P.), a designation that reflects his advanced training in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sports-related injuries. Prior to chiropractic school, Dr. Banks earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, East Bay, where his passion for sports medicine first began.

A Bay Area native, Dr. Banks has been actively involved in athletics throughout his life. He attended Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda, where he won a state championship in basketball and later continued playing at the collegiate level. Today, he brings that same passion into his practice—working with individuals of all fitness levels, including weekend warriors, CrossFitters, weightlifters, runners, and professional athletes.

Dr. Banks takes a holistic, movement-focused approach to care, integrating specialized soft tissue techniques such as Graston and active myofascial release with spinal and extremity adjustments as needed.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Banks enjoys playing pick-up basketball, hiking with his wife and high school sweetheart, Allie, and spending time with their cocker spaniel, Sophie. He’s also a dedicated fan of Bay Area sports teams.
